The business was set up in 2003 by Nick Bell who is a Chartered Financial Planner as well as a Chartered Insurance Practitioner and an Associate of the Personal Finance Society. Nick has over twenty-five years experience in financial services and before setting up Star House as his own business he was Managing Director of one of the largest and most respected firms of financial advisers in the South West.

In creating Star House, Nick has applied his experience and knowledge into developing the opportunity for us to provide our clients with a very caring yet also comprehensive approach to independent financial planning.

Fundamental to what we do is the seamless blend of good old-fashioned personal service (which many banks and other larger financial institutions seem to struggle to provide) with the support, expertise, and research facilities you would expect from a far larger company.

Our advice encompasses a whole range of financial matters, and we can help our clients to plan from childhood to old age (and beyond!).

We do not advertise (other than this website which aims to give prospective clients a little insight into who we are and how we work) and all our clients come to us by personal recommendation only - either from satisfied existing clients or from their accountants and solicitors. This means that we are able to focus our efforts on servicing our existing clients rather than on any marketing activities.

The great majority of our clients have dealt with us for many years and welcome an ongoing relationship with people who they can trust and on whom they come to rely.
