Star House Financial Services is an independent financial advice firm based near Bristol, lead by company directors Damian Watkins and Amy Woolcott. 

 

Originally formed in 2005, our growth has been completely organic, based entirely upon our reputation for highly professional and personable financial advice and word-of-mouth recommendations from other happy clients and professional connections.

 

From modest beginnings, we now look after a significant (and ever-increasing) number of clients from all over the UK and abroad, despite the fact that we do not actively market our services.

 

​Our growing team of advisers, paraplanners and administrators are committed to professional development and work diligently to ensure the advice we provide our clients is backed up by high levels of research and supported by years of experience in the industry. 

 

In addition, we have well-established links with other local business professionals including solicitors, accountants, tax advisers and mortgage specialists, who we work with to help provide our clients with a seamless and comprehensive service.

 

In 2009, Star House was recognised by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) as being worthy of Chartered status -  a distinction only awarded to financial advice firms with the highest professional standards and capability. Furthermore,  three quarters of our advising staff hold individual Chartered status also.

 

We are proudly independent and offer ‘whole of market’ financial advice. As part of this, we advise on all aspects of financial planning, including both short and long term investments, retirement and pensions planning, protection for both businesses and individuals, general tax planning and later life/estate planning.

 

Clients will often come to us when they have ‘big’ life decisions to make, such as planning ahead for private school fees, deciding when (or indeed, whether) they can afford to retire and/or how to fund an appropriate and affordable level of long term care.

 

Our advice process is designed to help you and your family plan with a clearer vision for your financial future, incorporating cashflow planning tools to answer those burning ‘what if’ questions.
